Overview Activity Director Opportunity at Allisonville Meadows. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and organized Activity Director to plan, develop, and implement engaging recreational programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for working with seniors, and a talent for creating diverse and meaningful activity offerings. Responsibilities Plan, develop, and implement engaging recreational programs that improve residents’ quality of life. Lead and mentor a team of Activity Assistants to provide engaging, age-appropriate activities for residents. Create engaging activities that accommodate different physical and cognitive abilities. Foster a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents and their families. Balance daily schedules, resident needs, and activity preparation through effective time management. Collaborate with and promote cooperation among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations, including government regulatory agencies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; two yearsining experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting; satisfactory completion of an Activities Director training or a degree in recreational therapy. Successful completion of a state-approved or nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program, or a CNA competency evaluation program.
