Job Description Summary The Clinical Data Manager performs end‑to‑end data management activities for assigned studies, ensuring data is collected, processed, and validated consistently with BD’s QMS procedures and ready for statistical analysis within project timelines. Responsibilities Review and provide feedback on the Clinical Investigation Plan (CIP) / Clinical Performance Study Protocol (CPSP). Provide data‑management leadership to align data collection requirements for one or more studies. Efficiently plan, coordinate, and deliver complete, high‑quality clinical trial data in a timely manner. Serve as the primary point of contact for team members on data‑management activities. Oversee quality and project controls for third‑party vendors. Enforce data standards and quality expectations per defined processes. Author and revise study documents, including Data Management Plan, Data Management Report, eCRFs, Database Configuration Specifications, External Data Specifications, eCRF Completion Guidelines, and other related documents. Coordinate, participate in, and complete database User Acceptance Testing. Represent Data Management on cross‑functional project teams. Review and validate study data for consistency, accuracy, integrity, and completeness. Provide project metric reports, status updates, and study progress feedback. Manage database implementation, lock, and close‑out processes. Maintain study documentation to be inspection‑ready. Provide mentorship and training to junior Data Management staff. Travel up to 5%. Required Skills/Experience 3+ years of direct clinical data management experience. Demonstrated leadership, advanced organizational and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented with advanced written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of device development process, FDA/ISO guidelines, and industry data‑management practices. Experience with the full data lifecycle, from database set‑up to lock and archiving. Competency in Excel and/or SAS programming. Good knowledge of EDC systems (Veeva preferred) and Microsoft Office. Multidisciplinary knowledge across functional areas in clinical research. Ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary project teams and develop productive relationships. Fundamental project management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills/Experience Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Physical Demands Ability to sit/stand for long periods; intermittently answer telephone and use a keyboard.
