As a Freelance Subtitler with CreatorGlobal, you'll be an integral part of our localization team and own the process of creating Brazilian Portuguese subtitles for original English content, with the goal of making our content accessible for Brazilian Portuguese-speaking audiences.

If you are fluent in English and a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with experience in localization (translation, subtitling, and/or dubbing), you may be a perfect fit to join CreatorGlobal.

As a Brazilian Portuguese Subtitler, you will be responsible for the creation, editing, and delivery of Brazilian Portuguese subtitles for a variety of MrBeast YouTube videos. You will handle all steps of the subtitling process and ensure prompt delivery of subtitles to your Language Coordinator.

This role will report directly to a Language Coordinator, also a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and a brand ambassador for MrBeast. The Brazilian Portuguese Language Coordinator ensures all content is accurately adapted in order to resonate with our Brazilian Portuguese-speaking audience, and as such, close collaboration is highly encouraged.

Additional expectations include coordinating localization tasks with your Language Coordinator and Brazilian Portuguese studio partners, auxiliary translating of materials such as video titles and descriptions, and building familiarity with our dubbing process in order to standardize localized deliverables.

• Create subtitles in Brazilian Portuguese, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and compliance with language rules.
• Receive feedback from Language Coordinator and effectively implement feedback into revised subtitles.
• Meet tight deadlines while subtitling multiple projects and respond to Language Coordinators' QC feedback within 24 hours of receipt.
• Assist in creating localized metadata for regional audiences where necessary.
• Maintain clear and timely communication directly with your Language Coordinator, studio partners, and CG Leadership.
• Build familiarity with the Beast brand – understanding key players, recurring themes or references, and affiliated brands is the best way to become an effective, engaged, and helpful resource within CreatorGlobal.

• Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker
• C1+ level English
• 1-3 years of experience with subtitling, translation, dubbing translation/dubbing script creation, quality control, or another integral part of the localization process
• A passion for your native language and culture, including expert knowledge of lingo, slang, cultural references, and sensitivities that are relevant to your language
• Organized and structured, but able to quickly adapt to changes in project schedule and priorities
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• An empathetic and proactive team leader

• Is proficient and comfortable with using OOONA for subtitle creation, translation, and QC, specifically with tools Create Pro and Translate Pro
• Understands the YouTube and digital media landscape in your native language including top content creators, trends, slang, and more.
• Has 3+ years of experience with subtitling, translation, dubbing translation/dubbing script creation or other notable steps of the localization process.
• Has connections to studios, voice actors, dubbing directors, translators, etc in their native language that allow the opportunity to expand the CG network.

Preferably you live in a primarily Brazilian Portuguese-Speaking region or locality.
