Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. Relocation assistance will be provided within the US.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year.

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for creating cycles of improvement throughout the organization by leading capital deployment, continuous improvement / cost-out projects, and other operations excellence initiatives.
What you'll do: \n - Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc.
\n - Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality.
\n - Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups.
\n - Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement.
\n - Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products.

Basic (Required) Qualifications: \n - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
\n - Minimum of one (1) year of experience or internship in an engineering function

Preferred Qualifications: \n - Three (3)+ years experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment
\n - Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
\n - AutoCAD system experience and required working knowledge and experience with computers
\n - Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
\n - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
\n - Experience with Microsoft Project

Position Success Criteria: \n - Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
\n - Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
\n - Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment
\n - Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions
\n - Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results
