Parking Enforcement Assistant

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Department: Parking Controls

Reports To: Parking Enforcement Supervisor

Employment Type: FT / PT

Position Summary:

We are seeking a responsible, observant, and customer-service-oriented Parking Enforcement Assistantto ensure compliance with parking rules and regulations in designated areas. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments. Available times include weekdays & weekends - morning, afternoon, or evening.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor on-street and off-street parking areas to enforce posted regulations
• Issue citations for parking violations using handheld devices or ticketing systems
• Document and photograph violations accurately for recordkeeping
• Respond to parking-related inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
• Report damaged signs, broken meters, or unsafe conditions to management
• Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to support operations
• Maintain a strong presence and represent the company positively in public

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Prior experience in customer service, security, or enforcement preferred
• Ability to walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Basic familiarity with handheld devices, mobile apps, or ticketing systems
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently

Additional Details:

• Uniform and training provided
• Position may include weekends, evenings, or holiday coverage
• This role requires standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting

Compensation:

Hourly wage: $16 / hr, plus Monthly Bonus Payouts (Avg. pay after bonus ranges from $21-24 / hr)
