Prior Authorization/Radiology Specialist

Come join an exciting and fast paced organization. SSGA is one of the leading Gastroenterology practices in the area. We strive for excellent service in a compassionate manner. Our practice consists of 18 physicians and 14 advanced practitioners including a state of the art Endoscopy Center.

We are currently seeking an energetic and professional individual with Medical Office experience who has the knowledge to drive our team to continued success.

This is a full time Monday-Friday position 8:30-5:00. This position will require you to obtain the ability to process clearance requests, prior authorizations for procedures and radiology as well as schedule radiology appointments for our patients. These tasks will be performed for a team of providers and not all of our providers.

Your position will include but is not limited to:

Prior Authorization Requests

• Receive and process prior authorization requests


• Notifying appropriate staff when authorization is approved and processed


• Handle any discrepancies of a prior authorization being denied

Radiology Scheduling and Prior Authorization Requests

• Receive and process prior authorization requests for Radiology


• Contacting patients to schedule test


• Notifying appropriate staff when authorization is approved and processed


• Handle any discrepancies of a prior authorization being denied

Qualifications:

• 2-5 Years medical office experience required


• Clinical knowledge required


• Scheduling experience helpful but not required

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work as a team as well as individually


• Ability to multitask and prioritize
