The role:

As a Senior AI Engineer at Entera, you’ll contribute to our AI and backend stack. You’ll be responsible for deploying AI architecture, particularly leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) via frameworks such as LangChain and LangSmith. You’ll develop and integrate AI solutions primarily using Python and FastAPI, connecting data from internal APIs to hosted LLMs. You’ll be joining a team of highly skilled and motivated AI, backend, full stack, and frontend engineers helping to deliver on the Entera product roadmap. This is a fast-paced role in a rapidly growing engineering organization and an opportunity to make tangible contributions to the business as it grows.

What you’ll do:

• Expand, develop and deploy AI architecture, especially with LLMs.


• Implement AI solutions using frameworks like LangChain, LangSmith and SmolAgents, leveraging industry standards (e.g. Model Context Protocol, RAG, and other tools)


• Develop new services and features in Python, with FastAPI.


• Connect internal APIs to hosted LLMs for data integration.


• Provide support to core platform APIs.


• Contribute to TDD efforts and ensure near-complete code coverage in our automated test suite.


• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code, participate in code reviews.


• Partner across all business domains to ensure design specs are met.


• Contribute to the Entera architecture.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in Engineering at product-driven tech companies, with at least 6 months production experience deploying AI Engineering products


• Degree in BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar.


• Deep expertise in LLM services, architectures, Prompt Engineering, Python, FastAPI and similar technologies


• Experience deploying Agent based frameworks, such as Smolagents


• Experience with Go and Ruby on Rails a plus


• Knowledge & production experience with Agent Frameworks, tooling, and deployment patterns


• Prior experience managing a small/mid sized team of engineers or discrete initiatives


• Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with internal and external professionals


• Extremely detail-oriented and organized with a proven ability to work well in a high-intensity environment to complete tasks quickly and effectively


• Strong analytical and problem solving skills


• Knowledge of software architecture practices


• Working knowledge of frontend requirements


• Agile development experience
