About the role

Do you have a deep understanding of the admissions processes for top 100 U.S. colleges and universities? egelloC is seeking a dedicated Student Success Coach to guide students and families through their academic and application journey. In this vital role, you will be the primary point of contact, providing individualized coaching, ensuring accountability, and implementing strategic plans to help students achieve their top-choice admissions goals. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong working knowledge of the University of California and California State University systems, along with other top 100 U.S. colleges and universities. What you'll do

  • Provide individualized coaching and accountability: Serve as the primary point of contact for a caseload of students and their families. Conduct weekly check-ins and monthly meetings to guide students through their academic, extracurricular, and college application milestones.
  • Implement strategic plans: Execute comprehensive college admissions strategies developed by our expert Strategists. Ensure the timely completion of all application components, including essays, activity lists, and supplemental materials.
  • Monitor and document progress: Use company systems to track each student's progress against their roadmap. Accurately and promptly document all coaching interactions, updates, and progress notes to maintain transparency and team alignment.
  • Ensure quality coaching delivery: Deliver coaching sessions that are clear, personalized, and impactful. Apply best practices from the coaching team to ensure a consistent and high-quality student experience.
  • Manage family communication: Serve as the main point of contact for students and parents, answering questions, clarifying milestones, and providing reassurance. Escalate complex or sensitive issues to a Team Lead or Strategist when necessary.
  • Engage in professional development: Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development activities to enhance your coaching skills and knowledge. Contribute to the team's continuous improvement by sharing new learnings and insights.

Qualifications

  • Admissions Expert: You possess a strong working knowledge of the admissions landscape for top 100 U.S. colleges and universities, including private and public institutions.
  • Specialized California Acumen: You are familiar with the specific admissions processes for the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems, including their unique application requirements and review processes.
  • Natural motivator and mentor: You are skilled at building rapport with students and families, providing encouragement, and holding students accountable in a supportive way.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented: You can effectively manage multiple student cases, track progress against milestones, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Exceptional communicator: You serve as the primary point of contact for families, providing clear, reassuring, and timely communication.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using productivity tools, communication platforms, and internal systems for documentation and tracking.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferrable in Education, Counseling, or related field.
  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a college admissions coaching, mentoring, or counseling role, preferably with high school students.
  • Equipment: Must have a personal computer with a microphone and camera and a reliable internet connection.
